Micah is currently writing his thesis show, The Lorelei, with his collaborator Chandra McClelland. The Lorelei is a modern day story about a mythical German siren, who stands on a cliff along the Rhine, singing for her long lost lover's return, and luring unsuspecting sailors to crash their ships on the rocks below. She encounters Kramer, an American tourist, and befriends her hoping that she will be the key to breaking the 200 hundred-year-old curse that binds her. Kramer is searching for something to rekindle her marriage—something powerful, alluring, and ancient—something Lorelei. The score is a sweeping, mystical, neo-romantic work with elements of the contemporary world.
